Linked Diverts Landfill Waste and Upcyles Old Banners into Tote Bags

Linked, a leading sales and marketing company of performance-based interior furnishings, came to us after one of the companies they represent, Watson Furniture, completed a project with us. They had vinyl banners they wanted to keep out of the landfill, as well as rPET.

We produced 250 horizontal tote bags to be given away to clients as gifts. The interior of the tote bags was upcycled from vinyl banners. The exterior utilized RPET that would have otherwise gone to the landfill.

RPET is made from recycled polyethylene terephthalate, or recycled plastic bottles. It looks and feels like felt. Other clients of Ecologic Designs, including Patagonia, frequently use RPET in product manufacture.
